"The Princess and the Frog" is a 2009 Disney animated film, directed by Ron Clements and John Musker. The story is loosely based on Grimm brothers' fairy tale "The Frog Prince". Also, movie uses some elements from E.D. Baker's 2002 young adult novel "The Frog Princess".

This long awaited movie marks a return to traditional (2D) animation for Disney, last seen in 2004. Also, "The Princess and the Frog" is return to Broadway-style musicals, and is the first Disney animated movie with African-American heroine.

This is a tale about making wishes come true by hard work and becoming a better person through interaction with good people. Main character, Tiana, is an independent, strong woman and a great role model for all the little girls out there.
